V.R Part Time Female G.P Position
Russell Vale Family Medical & Acupuncture Practice located 70km from Sydney, recently renovated & refurbished with modern, well equipped consulting rooms.
Our seaside practice was established in 1955 and is now fully computerized, seeing a good variety of patients. As a solo Practice, it has been a 2 time award (2009, 2014) winning Illawarra Doctor of the year – Dr Azam.
The position would suit a doctor wishing to work 2 or 3 days a week up to 6 sessions. No after hours or weekend work.
The Practice operates 5 days a week and is AGPAL Accredited with a Registered Practice Nurse and a social worker. It offers a pleasant work environment providing holistic and continuity of care to some families that are 3rd generation patients.
Dr Azam has over 25 years of experience and is committed to providing all aspects of general practice including Nursing Homes. He is a Medicare accredited acupuncturist. The position has negotiable hours and provides private and Bulk billing using Medical Director and is long term with a view to possible partnership.
This is NOT an ADWS position and the applicants must meet the following requirements.
- Must be and Australian Citizen or permanent resident
- Must have full AHPRA Registration as a Medical Practitioner (Specialist Registration)
- Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practioners or Vocational Registration (VR)
- Willingness to be part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptionally patient focused

- Asthma/Spirometry qualification
- Immunisation Certificate
The work will involve aged health assessments both in the Practice and in the patients homes or aged care facilities.
